Buckeye Adventures is an opportunity for transfer and campus change students to make friends, have fun in an outdoor setting, and learn more about Ohio State before school begins. You will develop bonds with other new and seasoned Buckeyes and learn skills that will aid in your success at Ohio State. Take part in a weekend white water rafting trip along the New River Gorge in West Virginia. Before you arrive on campus you’ll receive a postcard in the mail from a current Ohio State student. Your current student mentor can answer any questions that you may have about navigating student life at Ohio State. As part of your welcome to campus, the First Year Experience office offers several lunches and dinners for transfer and campus-change students at the start of each quarter. These informal events offer students who are new to Ohio State an opportunity to meet and mingle. Staff and current students are also on hand to answer your questions and help you get acquainted with campus. more>

A welcome and networking event for new transfer and campus change students, Buckeye Welcome occurs during autumn and winter quarters when the university welcomes its largest numbers of transfer and campus change students. Students meet university administrators, upperclassmen, and other Buckeyes, and learn about university traditions. more>

The First Year Experience office is currently seeking creative, committed, and enthusiastic students to become a part of our Transfer Student Activities Board (TSAB). The board is is looking for dedicated upper class transfer and/or campus change students who want to make a difference on the Ohio State campus and become a leader within the transfer student community. Selected board members will play a major role in  the planning, coordination, communication, and facilitation of current FYE programs and efforts that specifically serve transfer students. Board members will also lead the organizing of campus activities for transfer students and have the potential opportunity to collaborate with other offices across campus. more>

The First-Year Success Series presents information sessions about navigating student life at Ohio State. As a transfer or campus change student, all of these sessions are open to you to attend. The sessions are informative and relevant to your experience at Ohio State even if this isn't your first year on a college campus. We recommend exploring all the options and choosing sessions that best suit your interests. Several sessions of note include our leadership speaker series and our Buckeye Book Community speaker events. You may be required to attend a few of these sessions if you are signed up for a survey course. more>
